Dasan is a demon, but just what sort of demon is he? Was he born a demon or did he become one? Was he a man that gave up his soul for a wish? Or was he once an angel that fell from grace? The answer to those questions are not something Dasan will answer, because to answer those questions means pushing someone one step closer to something Dasan doesn't wish to be known--his real name.

There is power in a name, especially a real name. And for demons like Dasan to know their real name means to gain control over that power, and over them. This is why for his kind their name is carefully guarded. Of course, the name is out there, floating around, waiting to be discovered by anyone willing to search. And that is why Dasan doesn't tell anyone how he became a demon. He knows telling them will take them one step closer to finding his real name, and only a fool will help someone gain control over them.

He has roamed the universe for countless years, gathering and collecting souls through deals he makes with individuals. These deals boil down rather simply, he grants a wish for someone in exchange for their soul. However, sometimes he gives certain individuals a chance to gain their souls back. He does this by setting up a game, a bet if you will. If they win, they gain their soul back, but if they lose Dasan gains their soul forever, and they lose any chance of their soul being rescued from him. He always stacks the odds in his favor.

How he decides who to make these bets with is anyone guess. Perhaps, there is something he really likes about that individuals. And why he gather and collect souls is anyone guess, as well. Sometimes he claims it is what demons do. Others he will claim that he does it to have currency to bet in card games with other demons. Yet, other times he will claim he does it to curry favor with another demon, or to trade souls way human do trading cards. He also claims that he does it to gain minions.

Unlike some demons, Dasan does not need to possess a mortal body in order to walk around in the mortal realm. While he has the ability to take control of a mortal body, he prefers to walk around in his own. Besides, he find such skill useless when he can shape shift his own body to look exactly like the mortal he wishes to possess. Changing his appearance to look like a mortal is not the only thing he can do. He can change his appearance to look like other humanoid creature who are not human, and into animals as well.

A particular favorite is the shape of a black dog with red eyes. He likes this shape, because when he takes it in certain areas people become especially afraid. They view this shape as "The Black dog" Whose appearance is an omen for death. And those who had sold their soul to a demon sometimes believe that hellhounds will come and  drag their soul into hell, and when Dasan takes this shape they believe that he is one of these hellhounds. 

Over the course of his long existence, Dasan has taken many identities. He always retires an identity after awhile, because he doesn't think keeping the same name is beneficial in keeping his true name a secret. He will not even tell people what his previous aliases had been, because that might lead them to his real name.

His currant identity is Dasan Black, and he has set himself up as a tattoo artist on earth. His tattoo shop is located in bad part of a large city, and can only be found by those looking for it and whom Dasan wishes to find it. It was here that he found his currant conquest--a individual whom he has set up one of his bets with.

Her name is Ciara Blake. She, her boyfriend, and a couple of their friends had came into his shop in order to get tattoos. Ciara's boyfriend was the only one to get a tattoo that night before they all left the shop. One of their friends were upset because Dasan refused to give him the same tattoo that his friend just got, and Ciara and her boyfriend left after she told Dasan to stay away from her friends.

A couple weeks later her boyfriend 'dies' in a car accident, but Ciara finds something wrong with this story, and after research she finds that other teens have died this way, and each one had gotten a tattoo at his shop. She believing that he is somehow involved returns to his shop to gain some answers. He doesn't confirm that he is involved with their abductions, but he does confirm that her boyfriend is alive.

It is here that their deal is struck. He agrees to send her to the planet her boyfriend is one in exchange for half her soul, and if she finds her true love and save him within a year she will gain that half back, but if she doesn't he will gain the other half of her soul. He doesn't tell her that he will take her memories nor does he tell her that using phrase true love necessary means the one she has to save is the same one whom she had made the deal to save. Her true love and her boyfriend can be two different people. However, she thinking they are one in the same agrees to the deal.

Eventually, Ciara discovered the truth. She might have been more upset than she was if she hadn't fallen in love with him. They decided to have a relationship--exclusive at first, but other lovers eventually found their ways in each of their beds. It was during this time they discovered things about each other. Ciara came to learn that Dasan held the title Lucifer--named after the fallen angel himself, whom shaped hell into the kingdom that is is and whom most demon believe is the true and only king of hell. Anyone whom holds the title of Lucifer is merely a placeholder until the real Lucifer decides to reclaim his throne.

They both come to learn that Ciara genetics was not as simple as she believed it was. Her father was a witch, whom become a demon for Dasan, from a world called Asmiara and her mother was the daughter of Lucifer. She decided to go to Asmiara to learn more about her family from her father side and discover yet more things about Dasan. She found three of his sons within this world. Dasan had the habit of changing himself into other men and impregnanting women. Not one that occurs all the time, but it is what he does whenever he wished to have a child. A child born from Dasan's seed while in the form of another has characteristic of both Dasan and the man whom he had made himself appear as.  If one was to take a genetic test  it will say that both Dasan and the man whom he had changed into was the father.        

One of the women whom he tricked in this manner told him he desired more children but was afraid of losing them in the manner he lost his first born. So, he found someone whom he believed would protect them against any whom would try to harm them and whose belief in family would never turn him against them.  Dasan denied this, but he could not deny everything that she revealed to during this conversation. This woman, whose name was Adelaide, revealed herself to be the reincarnation of his first wife and the mother of his first born child  and it was not surprising that with this memory she also revealed she remembered his real name. He was not happy about this.

Ciara and Dasan got married and have one daughter together. He will like to have more children with her even if Adelaide had spoken the truth about his fear of losing another child in the same manner he had lost his oldest. Ciara wishes to learn more about his past---his childhood---but much to her frustration he is reclunt to reveal such things  to her. Through, regardless of his attempt to keep it from her, she has discoved he is a fallen angel and that his parents are two of the seven great archangels, whom are said will harold the end of days upon earth. He loves her greatly and he does wish to share everything with her, but he had not open up completely to someone in a long time that he finds it difficult to do so again.
